Ms. Landers is the Vice President, Cognitive Solutions at IBM Canada. In this role, she a large cross-country team focused on working with our clients to find innovative new ways to grow and transform their businesses by leveraging IBM’s investments in Cognitive Computing (Watson) and Cloud as well as our legacy of excellence in Consulting and Delivery Services, Analytics, Cybersecurity, Systems and Software. Today’s unprecedented industry disruption caused by digital transformation means that businesses of all sizes have both new challenges and new opportunities which Debbie and her team, along with the rest of IBM and our partners, will work to help them address in ways that create new value and competitive advantage.
In her previous role, she was the Vice President of Innovation Investments for IBM Canada.
Prior to joining the IBM Canada team in 2016, Ms. Landers held a number of global positions within IBM, including her most recent experience as the General Manager of Kenexa & Smarter Workforce. The foundation of this business was the December 2012 $1.4B acquisition of Kenexa. Before taking on the role of General Manager of the business, Ms. Landers lead the team integrating Kenexa in to IBM.
Ms. Landers started IBM in 1985 and has held various roles throughout her tenure, including Vice President and Integration Executive for the Netezza acquisition, Vice President of Global Client Support for IBM Information Management; and Director of IM Customer Support and Services Strategy, among others. She is also an active mentor to a number of protégé(e)s from across IBM. Outside IBM, Ms. Landers sits on the Board of Advisors for the University of Windsor Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre).
Ms. Landers holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, a Diplome de Francais Practique also from Western; and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.
